Anna Shwarb Memorial Library
Date
- March 2023
Location
- Ann Arbor, MI
The Anna Shwarb Memorial Library is designed as an addition in the Jewish Community Center in Ann Arbor. The building was built in 1970, and bought by the JCC in 1980 and was created as a PUD.
I converted the original hand drawn drawings of the building to revit, including the construction details to have a better idea of the new sturcture of the library. We came up with a new truss roof system to be supported on the existing columns of the building. The design is created in the courtyard between the two buildings, while also reusing the glass from the demolished walls on the exterior curtain wall.
All drawings and designs have been done by me under the supervision of the Head Architect.
